How Does Elemental Collect Information?

Personal Information:  Elemental collects information in a variety of ways.  The most important way we receive information is from you.  Specifically, when you request information about our products and services, either by contacting us, subscribing to an email or registering on our Site, you provide us with your Personal Information.  Additionally, participation in market surveys, research, or through phone calls with Elemental representatives or technical staff, your Personal Information and needs may be provided. Please note that any Personal Information relating to other people submitted to us or to our service providers in connection with the Site(s), you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.   

We may also obtain Personal Information about you through our joint marketing partners and other social media platforms.  Some of our social networking sites (SNS) that you authorize us to access, and that you agreed the SNS could provide to us based on your settings on that SNS, we will access, use, and store that information in accordance with this Notice.  Please note that you can revoke our access to the information you provide in this way at any time by amending the appropriate settings from within your account settings on the applicable SNS.

An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files when you access the Elemental Sites. Collecting IP Addresses is done automatically by many websites, applications and other services and is used to calculate usage levels of the Sites, help diagnose problems with its servers, administer the Sites.

Cookies and other similar technologies may be used to collect other information and to provide you with services available through our Site(s).  We use analytics and performance cookies to collect information about traffic to our Site(s) and how users use our Site(s). We use social media cookies when you share information using a social media site sharing button or action. Elemental also uses a web analytics service, currently Google Analytics.

By Aggregating Information: Aggregated Personal Information does not personally identify you or any other user of the Sites (for example, we may aggregate Personal Information to calculate the percentage of our users who have a particular telephone area code).

Pixel tags. We may also use pixel tags (which are also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) on our Site(s) to track the actions of users on our Site(s).  Unlike cookies, which are stored on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device by a website, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on webpages. Pixel tags measure the success of our marketing campaigns and compile statistics about usage of the Site, so that we can manage our content more effectively.  The information we collect using pixel tags is not linked to our users’ personal information.

Device permissions for Personal Data access:

Depending on the User’s specific device, Elemental Mobile Application may request certain permissions that allow it to access the User’s device Data as described below.

By default, these permissions must be granted by the User before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by the User at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, Users may refer to the device settings or contact the Owner for support at the contact details provided in the present document.

The exact procedure for controlling app permissions may be dependent on the User’s device and software.

Please note that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of this Application.

If User grants any of the permissions listed below, the respective Personal Data may be processed (i.e accessed to, modified or removed) by this Elemental Application.

Approximate location permission (non-continuous). Used for accessing the User’s approximate device location.

Precise location permission (non-continuous). Used for accessing the User’s precise device location. This Application may collect, use, and share User location Data in order to provide location-based services.

The geographic location of the User is determined in a manner that isn’t continuous. This means that it is impossible for this Application to derive the approximate position of the User on a continuous basis.

Camera permission. Used for accessing the camera for Live Sessions

Microphone permission. Used for accessing and recording microphone audio for Live Sessions

Storage permission. Used for accessing shared external storage, including the reading and adding of any items.

Disabling Tracking/Cookies and Revoking Access:

To revoke access for privacy settings on your SNS sites, You may amend the appropriate settings from within your account settings on the applicable SNS.

You can typically remove or reject cookies via your browser settings.  In order to do this, follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually located within the “settings,” “help,” “tools,” or “edit” facility).  Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings. Why Does Elemental Maintain Personal Information?

Personal Information is collected and maintained to enhance and respond to inquiries and requests, about Elemental services including methods of improving the services offered.  Additionally, this information is maintained to provide information in and manner and method that best suits your needs and when you need it, in an effort to personalize the experience and provide the best customer service.  

We must also maintain this information to ensure that we comply with State and Federal laws as they pertain to audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, technical notices, updates, security alerts, identifying usage trends and determining the effectiveness of services.  

Will Personal Information be Shared?

Elemental may disclose or use aggregated or de-identified information for any purpose.  For example, de-identified information may be analyzed to report on demographic trends in a particular area to measure objectives or diversity or gain a picture of issues or concerns on a particular demographic or for research purposes.  Personal Information will only be shared as described in this Privacy Policy. Additionally, Personal Information may be shared with Elemental Affiliates.

You also have the opportunity to post Personal Information through the Site.  This information may appear in public ways, such as through search engines or other publicly available platforms, and may be “crawled” or searched by third parties. Do not post any information that you do not want to reveal to the public at large.

Release of Information

Under certain circumstances, Elemental may be compelled to release Personal Information about you. This Privacy Policy outlines Who is Collecting your data, What data is being collected and how that data is being processed maintained and shared.  Understand that no Personal Information will be used unless permitted by law.
